Panel discussion addressing the HIV epidemic among women of color with perspectives from New England and the Deep South addressing the spectrum of diversity that exists within and among women of color. Major topics discussed include: The status of the epidemic among women of color? HIV criminalization and liability as it relates to stigma and disclosure? Holes for black women in the HIV care continuum? The role of violence as an HIV risk factor? The Affordable Care Act’s impact on HIV screening? Power in peer-to-peer community based interventions and the danger of aggrandizing cost saving public health interventions as the best method for evaluating program designs?
