CROI 2013: Panel – Women in Research

The Women in Research Panel from the 20th CROI discusses both Women in HIV research, and women’s health issues specific to the HIV community. The panelists include:

Elizabeth Connick, MD, of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases. Dr. Connick spearheads research specializing in immunopathogenesis of HIV infection;

Monica Gandhi, MD, MPH, University of California, San Francisco. She is a specialist in measuring the differences between men’s and women’s responses to antiretroviral therapy and in evaluating innovative markers of adherence and exposure in HIV treatment and prevention; and

Heidi Nass is a treatment advocate, member of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines, and member of the Drug Development Committee of the AIDS Treatment Activists Coalition.
