CROI 2013: Panel – Pediatric Issues

Hannah Gay, MD, is Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Director of the Pediatric HIV program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Katherine Luzuriaga, MD, is a professor of Pediatrics and Molecular Medicine at University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Lynne Mofenson, MD is the Branch Chief of Maternal and Pediatric Infectious Disease Branch at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health.

Drs Gay, Luzuriaga, and Mofenson discuss the current status of Pediatric HIV/AIDS research, treatment, and mother-child transference, both nationally and globally. Drs Gay and Luzuriaga discuss their recent experience in “curing” an in-utero infected child of HIV.
