Having been awarded this years CROI “Bernard Field Lecture”, he is recognized for his advancement his field of work – microRNAs (miRNAs) antagomirs, and molecular biology and potential applications in Hepatitis C and HIV. He covers the importance of basic science in the larger picture of the evolution of treatments for many diseases.
